Chrysostomos L. 'Max' Nikias is a Cypriot-American academic who served as the 11th president of the University of Southern California (USC) from 2010 to 2018. He has held various academic and administrative roles at USC since 1991 and holds the Malcolm R. Currie Chair in Technology and the Humanities. Nikias faced controversy regarding the university's handling of sexual misconduct allegations, leading to his resignation in 2018. He is currently a tenured professor and director of the USC Institute for Technology Enabled Higher Education and serves on several boards.
