John Clinton Stringfellow (1905-1959) was a notable New Zealand rugby union player, known for playing as a fullback and centre. He represented Wairarapa and participated in the All Blacks during their 1929 tour of Australia, where he played seven matches and scored 16 points. In addition to his sports career, Stringfellow served in the military during World War II. He passed away on January 4, 1959, and was buried in Masterton. His contributions to rugby and service in the armed forces are remembered by many.
