Joining the Baháʼí Faith in 1944, he collaborated with Shoghi Effendi and served in various leadership roles, including on the National Spiritual Assembly of Australia. Appointed Hand of the Cause in 1957, Featherstone was instrumental in Baháʼí administrative work in Australia and the Pacific, contributing significantly until his death on September 29, 1990, in Kathmandu.
