Mrinal Das is an Indian trade unionist born on January 14, 1948. He became general secretary of the Bengal Provincial Students Federation in 1970 and was involved with the Students Federation of India. His trade union activism led him to become a secretary of the West Bengal State Committee of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) in 1986, and he served in the national working committee of CITU. Known for his hardline approach, he was also a member of the West Bengal State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) at one point.
