Concepta Margaret McManus Pimentel, born on February 15, 1963, in Ireland, is a prominent Brazilian agronomist, researcher, and university professor. She is a full professor at the University of Brasília since 1992, specializing in Animal Genetics and Breeding, Animal Genetic Resource Conservation, and Landscape Genetics. Concepta is a Commander of the National Order of Scientific Merit and a full member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences in Agricultural Sciences since 2017. Throughout her career, she has published extensively, including over 300 journal articles and has guided numerous graduate students.
