Conny van Diest is a Dutch triathlete born on May 3, 1954, in Baarn. She was the first Dutch champion in long distance triathlon. Inspired by Julie Moss's finish in 1982, Conny began competing in triathlons, winning the Almere triathlon in 1983 with a time of 13:10.53. This victory made her the first European woman to complete a full triathlon. Following this achievement, she decided to stop competing in triathlons.
