Constantin Xypas, born April 10, 1947, in Cairo to Greek parents, became a French citizen in 1976. He served as a professor in educational sciences at the Université catholique de l'Ouest in Angers and was associated with the Université de Sherbrooke and the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières. He is renowned for his specialization in Jean Piaget, having authored four books and numerous articles on the subject. His research also includes moral education and citizenship education from a Piagetian perspective. Currently, he teaches in Brazil, where his wife works.
