He was involved in the infamous Apalachin Meeting in 1957 and was identified as a significant figure in the Mafia by Joe Valachi in 1963. Valenti served a prison sentence for refusing to cooperate with law enforcement about the meeting. He passed away in 2001 at the age of 75.
