Cornelis Hendrik van de Linde was a Dutch politician from the CHU, born on July 9, 1918, in Tholen. He began his career at the municipality of Uitgeest and later became the acting municipal secretary in Marken. In 1947, he worked as a clerk in the municipality of Leiden and became the municipal secretary of Bruinisse in 1948. Van de Linde served as the mayor of Bruinisse in 1959 and later of Nieuwerkerk aan den IJssel from 1969 until his retirement in 1983. He passed away on March 1, 2004, at the age of 85.
