Cornelius Dupree Jr. is an American man wrongfully convicted of aggravated robbery in 1980, related to a 1979 rape case. After serving 30 years of a 75-year sentence, he was paroled in July 2010. His exoneration came after DNA evidence cleared him of the crime, as his DNA did not match traces from the scene. Represented by the Innocence Project, Dupree holds the record for spending the longest time in Texas prison before being exonerated by DNA evidence.
