Cosy Sheridan is an American folk singer/songwriter born on December 11, 1964. She gained fame in 1992 by winning major songwriting contests. Known for her lyrical dexterity and distinctive guitar style, Sheridan's music explores a range of themes, including love, politics, and humor. She has released several albums, and her 2014 CD, Pretty Bird, was recognized as one of the year's best. An educator, she teaches songwriting and guitar at workshops, and co-founded the Moab Folk Camp in Utah.
