Curtis Edward Ford Jr. was an American politician born on March 24, 1922, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He served in the United States Army Air Forces and the United States Marine Corps during World War II. Following the war, Ford was a Democratic member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1953 to 1957. He attempted to advance his political career with an unsuccessful bid for the Texas State Senate in 1956 and later ran for the United States Senate in a special election, receiving 767 votes in a large candidate field.
