Active in the National Liberation Movement since 1941, she studied economics in the Soviet Union and graduated from the Faculty of Economics in Ljubljana. Continuing her academic career, she became a professor from 1974 to 1987, specializing in political economy, price theory, and microeconomics. She authored over 70 papers and several books, contributing significantly to Marxian economic theory and was recognized as a distinguished professor in 2005.
