Czesław Skoniecki, pseudonym 'Ksiądz', was a Polish communist activist, publicist, and one of the co-founders of the Polish Workers' Party (PPR). He was born on December 22, 1905, in Chmielen Wielki and died on July 28, 1964, in Warsaw. Skoniecki served as the head of the NKVD network in occupied Warsaw during World War II and was the president of the Main Office for Control of the Press, Publications and Shows in the Polish People's Republic (PRL). His political and journalistic activities were significant in the communist era.
