Daikichirō Kusube was a Japanese animator born on December 10, 1934, in Manchukuo. He was a prominent figure in the animation industry, serving as the founder and former chairman of Shin-Ei Animation Co., Ltd. He hailed from Numata City, Gunma Prefecture. His younger brother, Mitsukichirō Kusube, was the second president of Shin-Ei Animation. Daikichirō Kusube had a significant impact on Japanese animation and was influential in its development until his passing on August 27, 2005.
