Daimonji Kenji, born Kenji Tamura on February 21, 1940, is a former sumo wrestler from Kyoto, Japan. He debuted professionally in March 1956 and advanced to the top division by November 1966, achieving a highest rank of maegashira 5. After retiring from competition, he took on the role of elder in the Japan Sumo Association with the name Nishiiwa, coaching at the Taihō/Ōtake stable until he was mandated to retire at the age of 65 in February 2005.
