Daisuke Kimura is a former Japanese breaststroke swimmer born on August 23, 1981. He achieved notable success in the 200m breaststroke, winning silver medals at both the 2002 and 2006 Asian Games, finishing second to Olympic champion Kosuke Kitajima. In 2006, he claimed the national title, beating Kitajima. Additionally, Kimura won a bronze medal at the 2002 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships and participated in two FINA World Championships during his swimming career.
