Daisuke Miyajima is a Japanese politician born on June 6, 1963. He has served as the mayor of Sasebo City in Nagasaki Prefecture for one term. Miyajima has been a member of the Nagasaki Prefectural Assembly for two terms and a member of the House of Representatives for two terms as well. He has held the position of Deputy Minister of Defense in the Noda administration's third cabinet and has also served as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Democratic Party.
