Damayanthi Dharsha-Kobalavithanage is a retired Sri Lankan athlete born on February 13, 1975. She excelled in the 200m and 400m events, holding multiple records, including the Asian Games record in women's 200m and the Asian Athletics Championships record in women's 400m. Competing in three Olympics (1992, 2000, 2004) and four Commonwealth Games (1994, 1998, 2002, 2006), she is one of Sri Lanka's greatest athletes and the most successful at the Asian Games, with three golds. She now resides in Melbourne, Australia.
