Damodaran Kalassery was an influential Indian politician and social worker. He served as a member of the Fourth Kerala Legislative Assembly and held the position of Minister for Harijan Welfare in the Fifth Kerala Legislative Assembly during P.K. Vasudevan Nair's cabinet from October 29, 1978, to October 7, 1979. Born on March 8, 1930, in Chertala, Alappuzha district, he also contributed to journalism and was a member of the All India Congress Committee.
