Dan Cloeter is a retired athlete and current pastor from Osceola, Nebraska. He competed in various running events, notably winning the Chicago Marathon in 1977 and 1979. He also participated in the 1976 US Olympic Trials and the New York City Marathon in 1978. Besides athletics, Cloeter was active in religious ministry, primarily in Nebraska, after beginning his pastoral career in 1978. He served in various churches across Midwestern United States and was honored to lead the opening prayer at the 1999 USATF Junior Olympics.
