Originating from Clarendon, Jamaica, he enjoyed brief success on the charts, with the song later reaching number 11 in Sweden and placing in the Top Ten in locations such as Milan and New Zealand. Despite being recognized as a one-hit wonder, he continued to produce music, releasing albums independently and performing as the lead singer of the gospel reggae band Unity during the 1980s.
