Dan Newell, known as The Trumpet Man, is a trumpet player who occasionally performs with the British alternative rock band Muse. He plays notable solos in the songs 'Knights of Cydonia' and 'City of Delusion' from the album 'Black Holes and Revelations'. Dan first appeared publicly with Muse in October 2006 on the BBC show 'Later... with Jools Holland', and his first concert was on November 11, 2006, at the Manchester Evening News Arena. He can also be seen on the H.A.A.R.P DVD during 'Knights of Cydonia'.
