Daniel C. Tsui is a Chinese-American physicist who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1998, sharing it with Robert Laughlin and Horst Störmer for their work on the fractional quantum Hall effect. Born on February 28, 1939, in Hunan, China, he is currently a professor at Princeton University, specializing in solid-state physics and semiconductors. From 2006 to 2008, he taught physics at Columbia University and was active in campus Christian fellowship during his tenure there.
