Daniel Díaz Díaz is a Mexican engineer and politician born on March 17, 1934, in Huandacareo, Michoacán. He served as Secretary of Communications and Transport under President Miguel de la Madrid from 1984 to 1988. A Civil Engineer, he graduated from the National School of Engineering at UNAM and went on to teach there. He began working in the Secretariat of Communications in 1956, holding various positions, including Undersecretary in 1982. He later advised President Carlos Salinas de Gortari and served as a federal deputy for the PRI in the LVII Legislature.
