Julio Daniel Salinas Grecco, born on February 17, 1962, is a prominent Uruguayan neurologist and politician affiliated with Open Cabildo (CA). He served as the Minister of Public Health from March 1, 2020, to March 13, 2023. Salinas holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of the Republic and has advanced qualifications in neurology, Health Business Management, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In addition, he has a diploma in Sleep Medicine. Following his government role, he was appointed dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Catholic University of Uruguay in April 2023.
