Daniel W. Dwyer is a vice admiral in the United States Navy, born on October 29, 1966. He has served as the deputy chief of naval operations for operations, plans, strategy, and warfighting development since August 2, 2024. Dwyer previously commanded the United States Second Fleet and Joint Force Command Norfolk, and was director of plans and policy at the United States Cyber Command. A graduate of California Maritime Academy and the Naval War College, he holds multiple degrees including in marine transportation and strategic studies.
