Dante Wyndham Arthurs is an Australian murderer born on 8 August 1984. He was convicted of murdering eight-year-old Sofia Rodriguez-Urrutia Shu in 2007, for which he pleaded guilty to murder and unlawful detention. He was sentenced to life imprisonment with a non-parole period of 13 years. As of June 2023, he is imprisoned in Casuarina Prison, having had parole bids denied in June 2019 and May 2022. There have been debates in Australia regarding the death penalty, reviving public interest due to the case.
