Datla Satyanarayana Raju, also known as D. S. Raju, was an Indian Parliamentarian and a distinguished medical professional born on August 28, 1904, in Poduru, West Godavari District. Educated at prestigious institutions including Andhra Medical College and Guy's Hospital, he served as a Major in the Indian Military from 1934 to 1945. A prominent freedom fighter and philanthropist, he co-founded Rangaraya Medical College in Kakinada. He represented Rajahmundry in the Lok Sabha multiple times from 1957 to 1967 and held various ministerial roles, including Deputy Minister of Health and Defence.
