Dave Goldstein is a Dutch children's book author born on April 7, 1972, in Zaandam. He won the Apollo Proza prize in 1997 for his short story 'Lachen', which was later included in his debut adult novel 'Lucifer, een verkorte slag'. Goldstein began writing for children in 2018 with his novel 'Bijna vergeten', and in 2019, he was a finalist for the Hotze de Roosprijs for the best children’s book debut. His young adult novel '15 3/4' was released in 2020.
