David A. Nutter is an American politician born on April 2, 1955, in Clarksburg, West Virginia. A member of the Republican Party, he served in the Virginia House of Delegates from 2002 to 2012 representing the 7th district. This district includes Radford and parts of Montgomery and Pulaski Counties. In 2011, he chose not to seek re-election and instead ran against State Senator John S. Edwards, but was unsuccessful. In 2012, he was appointed by Governor Bob McDonnell to the State Board of Community Colleges.
