Dave Shondell, born on January 17, 1958, is the head women's volleyball coach at Purdue University. Raised in Muncie, Indiana, he began coaching at Daleville High School, later moving to Muncie Central High School where he achieved around 600 wins, earning 4 state championships. Shondell was recognized as National Coach of the Year in 2002. He directed the Munciana Volleyball Club, leading it to nearly 20 national championships. Since joining Purdue in 2003, he has achieved over 370 victories, fourteen NCAA Tournament appearances, eight Sweet Sixteen trips, and two Elite Eight trips.
