Dave Walden (June 7, 1942 – April 27, 2022) was an American computer scientist known for his contributions to the engineering development of ARPANET, a precursor to the modern internet. He notably contributed to the Interface Message Processor, which served as a packet-switching node for ARPANET. Walden was also a contributor to the IEEE history of computing records and was a member of the DEC Users Group.
