David Kelvin Bolstad (12 May 1969 – 19 November 2011) was a renowned New Zealand woodchopper known for his exceptional skill in the Stihl Timbersports Series, where he became a champion five times from 2001 to 2008. Born into a family of axemen, his father Sonny Bolstad also represented New Zealand in the sport. David tragically passed away suddenly in 2011 after a competition in Waiuku, leaving a legacy in the woodchopping community.
