David Bonser (1934-2005) was the Anglican Bishop of Bolton from 1991 to 1999. He was educated at King's College London and studied for ordination at St Boniface Missionary College. Bonser served in various roles including curacies in Heckmondwike and Sheffield, Rector of St Clement's, and Archdeacon of Rochdale. He was honored as an Honorary Canon of Manchester Cathedral. Bonser retired after his tenure as bishop and passed away on 20 March 2005.
