David Capper was a British educator and political activist born on March 2, 1901, in London. As a co-founder of the Communist Party of Great Britain (CPGB), he was deeply involved in socialist and atheistic movements. He studied French at King’s College London and worked as a teacher from 1922 to 1966, often changing positions due to his political activities. During WWII, he served as secretary of the London Teachers Association and contributed to the 1944 Educational Act. He was on the Nazis' watchlist due to his CPGB membership and Jewish heritage.
