David Casamitjana i Cabestany was a Catalan footballer born on May 17, 1932, in Castellnou de Seana. He began his career at RCD Espanyol at age 16 and played as a midfielder. Casamitjana had notable performances alongside Emili Gàmiz and participated in the 1957 Copa del Rey final against FC Barcelona. He played for Real Oviedo from 1958 to 1960 and represented the Catalan national team three times and Spain B once in 1956. After retiring, he settled in Manresa and became a pastry chef.
