David Chkhikvishvili (February 23, 1921 – December 1987) was a Georgian historian and academic. He held a doctorate in historical sciences (1964) and was a professor (1965). He served as a member of the Georgian Academy of Sciences and was recognized as a distinguished figure in Georgian science (1981). Chkhikvishvili participated in World War II as a pilot and held various political positions within the Georgian Communist Party. He authored over 100 scientific works, including monographs on socialist culture and was involved in the editorial board of major historical publications.
