David C. Curwen (1913–2011) was an English mechanical engineer specializing in miniature railway steam locomotives. He began his career as an aircraft engineer at Short Brothers before establishing his engineering firm, Baydon. Curwen became Chief Mechanical Engineer for the Talyllyn Railway during its preservation era and later partnered with A.E. Newbery. He authored his autobiography in 2006 and had a work reviewed in 2008. Curwen was highly influential in the field of miniature locomotives.
