While police ruled his death an accident, his parents alleged he was murdered, claiming a cover-up. Public protests ensued for justice, leading to the formation of an Inquiry Board by the National Assembly, which suggested murder as a likely cause, but its findings were dismissed. Despite evidence tampering charges against individuals, no one has been convicted, and the case remains unresolved.
