Johan David Fridlund, born December 17, 1974, in Storfors, Värmland, is a Swedish songwriter and singer best known as the frontperson of David & the Citizens. He released his solo debut album, Amaterasu, in 2004, which features guest appearances from his girlfriend, Sara Culler. Fridlund has also played drums in Björns vänner and moved to Austin, Texas, in 2009. He released his second solo album in 2010 and returned to Sweden in 2022 to form a new band, i0r, which recorded their debut album in 2023.
