David Glasser is a South African chemical engineer known for co-developing reachable set theory and researching ways to enhance the efficiency of chemical processes. He was the first recipient of the Harry Oppenheimer Fellowship award in 2001. Additionally, he has received prestigious honors, including the Bill Neale May Gold Medal from the South African Institute of Chemical Engineers and the Science for Society Gold Medal from the Academy of Science of South Africa. Currently, he serves as an Extraordinary Professor at the University of South Africa and lives in Australia.
