David Grosclaude is a journalist and Occitan politician from Bearn (Gascony), born on April 14, 1958, in Chinon. He is a regional councilor for Aquitaine and the son of notable Occitanist Miquèu Grosclaude. He helped establish the first Occitan TV broadcasts on France-3, sponsored Ràdio País in 1983, and founded the newspaper La Setmana in 1994. He has been active in various cultural initiatives, including translating Asterix into Occitan. As president of the Parti Occitan, he won a regional council seat in 2010 and has advocated for the Occitan language's promotion.
