David H. Huntoon, Jr. is a retired lieutenant general of the United States Army, who served as Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point. He graduated from West Point in 1973 and rose through the ranks, participating in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He commanded various units, including 3rd Infantry Regiment and served in key staff positions. After a career spanning decades, he became Superintendent of West Point from 2010 until his retirement in 2013, during which he faced allegations of misconduct. Post-retirement, he has been active as a consultant and speaker.
