He serves in the New Hampshire Senate representing the 4th district since 2012 after two terms in the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Before his political career, he was an English professor at a college. Watters has connections to the arts through his son, Harper Watters, a ballet artist, and is related to Fox News commentator Jesse Watters as his uncle.
