David Hodo, born Richard Davis Hodo on July 7, 1947, is an American dancer and singer, famous for being the construction worker character in the Village People from 1978 to 1982 and again from 1987 to 2013. He hails from San Andreas, California, graduated from California State University, Sacramento, and made his Broadway debut in 1975. Apart from the Village People, he has appeared in several musicals and television shows and released solo music, including a cover of 'My Sweet Lord' in 2002 and an EP in 2008.
