David J. Allstot is an American professor of electrical and computer engineering at Carnegie Mellon University, born on January 22, 1947, in Brookings, South Dakota. His research focuses on analog, mixed-signal, and radio frequency integrated circuits. Previously, he taught at UC Berkeley and the University of Washington. In 2008, he was elected president-elect and served as president of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society in 2009. He was also elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2020, recognizing his contributions to the commercialization of mixed-mode integrated circuits and systems.
