David J. Morrow was a prominent journalist and editor who became the editor-in-chief of TheStreet.com in July 2001. During his time there, he led the site to win several journalism awards, including the prestigious Gerald Loeb Award in 2005. In 2001, he was recognized by Out magazine as one of the 100 most successful gay individuals in the U.S. He was the first Reynolds Endowed Chair of Business Journalism at the University of Nevada, where he taught before passing away from pancreatic cancer on February 1, 2010.
