David Guy Barnabas Kindersley MBE was a British stone letter-carver and typeface designer, best known as the founder of the Kindersley Workshop. His work includes carved plaques and inscriptions found on numerous churches and public buildings across the UK. In 1961, he designed the Octavian font for Monotype Imaging. Together with his third wife, Lida Lopes Cardozo, he created the main gates for the British Library, showcasing their artistic collaboration and his influence in the field of typography and stone carving.
