David Kitur is a former Kenyan sprinter specializing in the 400-meter dash. He reached the semifinals at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics in both the individual event and the 4x400 meter relay. He won a bronze medal at the 1985 African Championships and a silver at the Pan African Games in 1987. In 1987, he finished sixth in the 400 m at the World Championships in Rome, setting a personal best of 44.73 seconds in the semifinals. Kitur also competed in the 1992 Olympics and had multiple successes in regional competitions.
